The UltrAspire Alpha is a great running vest. I recently used it during the 25km Wicklow Way Trail in Ireland and was very impressed with the product.
The Alpha has a 2 litre water reservoir. Two lightweight mesh pockets at the front allow extra capacity to carry gels, food or additional water that can be made nice and snug by compressing the pull strings. The pack comes with UltrAspire’s patent pending electrolyte pocket with magnet closure for storing your electrolyte and salt tablets. There is an additional pocket with a zip on the front of the race pack, great for holding your car keys, and can be accessed very easily, even when wearing gloves. There are two very handy mesh pockets great for putting your trash in when you are out on the trails.
Everything on the pack is accessible while running, so the pack does not have to be removed to get to the items you have stored at the back of the pack. It comes with UltrAspire’s passage pocket on the back of the pack which can be accessed from the left or right hand side of the pack, this also comes with magnetic closure. I found this great for holding my Buff, Gloves, tissues, etc. The back pouch holds your 2 litre water reservoir and is very easy to access but if you are using a handheld bottle you can use the back pouch to hold your rain jacket and extra food.
I loved the pack it was very comfortable so much so I hardly knew it was on my back. The large hole, breathable microfiber mesh allows for extra breathability and a very light and airy feel. The pack also has two dual speed hooks at the front making it sit perfectly on the body with no restriction. There is some nice reflective detailing on the front and back so running in morning or at night is not a problem with this product. The two litre pack comes with the UltrAspire signature push/ pull infusion valve to deliver a high flow of water. The reservoir is slightly raised which allows quick and easy access at water stations.
This may be the Ultimate race pack; extremely light, Comfortable and because everything is with in arms reach you will never have the vest off during your long runs. The customer service you get with UltrAspire is excellent, from the minute Tina in Customer service replied to my email I felt like a valued customer. I highly recommend the UltrAspire Alpha, it’s a very good race pack
